We repointed the gable end and chimney of this historic house in the outskirts of Skipton in a hot-lime mortar, as previously it had been repointed with an very strong cement based mortar which had lead to an number of issues including trapping moisture in the walls leading to damp problems and doing frost damage to the original stonework of the property.

Any stone work that was too far gone from the frost damage was expertly matched and replaced, along with a partial rebuild of the chimney.
